Sasha Alba is an artist based in Auckland, New Zealand who works in oils and gouache, with a particular interest in observational still life painting. She has a BFA(hons) in painting from the National Art School in Sydney and studied painting in France and Italy at Studio Escalier and JSS in Civita. Sasha is interested in perceptual painting and learning how to deconstruct what is observed into abstract colour and light relationships to better understand our visual experience.
